| A Zeiss Ikon Camera Collection exhibit. |
|
|
The "TimeMachines..." Zeiss Ikon camera collection exhibit is privately owned and operated
by Greg Bedore of St. Petersburg Fl. USA.
This educational and historical exhibit is made available to Museums, Libraries, Universities and Art Centers on a short-term lease basis with typical "set-ups" of 30 days or longer.
The unit measures 18' wide, 8' high and 6' deep and incorporates Plexiglas panels, shelving units, display boxes, backlighting and graphics. This display is for educational and informational purposes only. This unit can be coupled effectively with other photographic exhibits and organizations.
Over 250 Zeiss Ikon cameras and an assortment of unusual and interesting accessories make up the presentation. Taken as a whole, this display is a study in camera design in general with dozens of different formats and style configurations represented. Model numbers, production dates and special notations are also indicated. This exhibit ties in well with local camera store promotions, camera club meetings and camera trade shows within a regional area.
Road cases are used to make this exhibit somewhat portable and the display is closed-in and electronically armed for security. Insurance requirements must be satisfied by the leaseholder for the duration of the exhibit and during transportation. A secured building with monitoring and alarm capabilities is also required. A set-up and pick-up crew is utilized for this exhibit and the display is organized and labeled in a logical manner.
Interested parties and individuals seeking more details about the travel schedule and leasing arrangements should:
Contact the Collector.
At the present time, the display cameras are undergoing a cosmetic and mechanical overhaul and the exhibit is currently not available for travel. |
